On the same axle, it is imperative to mount identical tires: the new tires must, therefore, have the same specificities as the old ones, and be of the same structure, of the same dimensions and the same speed and load indices. If you change only two out of four tires, the new tires should preferably be mounted at the rear of the vehicle to maintain a better grip at the rear and avoid head-to-tail.
